Tomato Basil Soup

SoCal Disney Dad had the tomato basil soup as the appetizer on the World of Color dining package at Wine Country Trattoria, and it split him. The flavor he rates as genuinely good, but the texture threw him off: he calls it chunky, and not stew chunky but cottage cheese chunky, warning that anyone put off by that texture probably will not get along with this soup. He also found the fried mozzarella bits stirred into it too large for a single spoonful, and would rather have had a mozzarella stick he could dip. He notes it is not the same soup he has had at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and Magic Key Terrace, and not what he was expecting.
