The most divisive item in Mix In Some Magic's tasting, with scores of 8.5-9, 7.7 and 3 out of 10. The youngest taster loved the texture and rated it near the top; another agreed the texture is great but said the flavour could use a boost. The host disagreed sharply — not a bread pudding fan generally, she found it bland, said it needs more flavour, and was unmoved by the texture argument, giving it a 3.

He called the $8 portion big enough to share, but found it overly sweet (about 9.5/10) because of the sugar dusted on the whipped cream, which he felt drowned out the bread pudding. He could taste the taro and white chocolate, but the coconut-vanilla sauce only faintly, and the bottom and edges were dry. He said it isn't up to the usual Aunt Cass bread pudding standard.
