Savory Kugel Mac & Cheese

The returning Savory Kugel Mac and Cheese, topped with herb breadcrumbs, sour cream and chives, tried here as half of the Holiday Duet sampler. The host called it really good, rich, creamy and buttery. He scored it six out of seven and said it was worth giving a shot.

He found it very wet and cheesy, with fancier noodles and more cheese than its partner, a little on the salty side but not overly so. He gave it an A+ and called it a home run, and his wife picked it as her favorite of the two.
