The Disney Noob notes the new Raspberry-Rose Macaron drops the fresh raspberries for a raspberry gelee, so it looks flatter. The pink filling is very sweet, but with the gelee it tastes about 90% like the original. The flavor gets a solid A and it is still called the best macaron in the park, but it's judged a downgrade and the price went up to $9.
Reviews
2 reviewsOrdinary Adventures ranked this third on their Disneyland cookie crawl and were relieved by it. One host had been wary because this long-standing Jolly Holiday classic was recently reformulated and, by their account, used to be twice the size with fresh raspberries inside; they report it is still absolutely delicious, if not quite what it once was. They describe it as refreshing and delicate, sweet without the raspberry turning too tart, and lighter than the quantity of filling suggests. The other host, who likes neither macarons nor raspberry desserts, found it quite delightful and a classic for a reason, while maintaining they would still take the Grogu cookies over it.
