Mr Cheezy Pop and Amy both loved the seasonal pork pozole at Rancho del Zocalo - 'so good' with great flavors and plenty of shredded pork. They warn it has a real kick ('that is spicy, it got me'), but said it was good all the same and picked it over the other new items because it's only around for the season.

The host's tip is to crush the corn tortilla chips into the bowl for texture. Bottom line: definitely try it, it's popular for a reason. A returning item rather than a new one.
Feed Meimei says Rancho del Zocalo never misses with its soup, though she debates trying it at all since it is 92F and hot soup felt like a stretch. She squeezes the lime in on camera and calls it a nice zing of citrus. The pork is shredded and moist rather than dry, the hominy adds texture, the onion brings sharpness, and the broth itself carries a lot of flavor even before the lime. She also likes dipping the tortilla chips in for the crunch. Her bottom line: warm and comforting, and good even on a hot day.
