On the server's recommendation, the Bear from Princess and the Bear ordered the Pollo a las Rajas at San Angel Inn: grilled chicken topped with corn, cheese and poblano cream over thick slices of potato. He said the chicken was super tasty and grilled well, and that the potato soaking in the poblano cream gave the whole dish a nice pepper flavor that just works. Not as good as what he has had at La Hacienda and not worth a visit on its own, but worth trying if you like Mexican-style chicken, and the best thing he had that meal. Four out of five.

2 reviewsGrilled chicken over roasted potato wedges with onions, poblano peppers, corn and a poblano cream sauce under queso fresco; her portion included a bone-in leg quarter. She found the chicken well seasoned and so tender it fell apart on the fork, and loved the creamy green sauce and the sweet pops of corn, though the big potato wedges looked better than they tasted and she would rather have rice. She called it the best entree she has tried at San Angel Inn and what she will order next time.
