Just Imagine ordered the nachos at Rancho del Zocalo with barbacoa added, and the size landed first - a plate so big the two hosts could not finish it. They call the chile really, really flavorful, the barbacoa super tender with big pieces of meat, and they single out the guajillo cheese sauce and how fresh the guacamole tastes. The heat is real but manageable: they put it at five or six out of ten, rising to eight or nine if you bite into one of the red jalapenos, so eat with some care. Their verdict is that it is very good even judged outside theme-park food, and they recommend it outright - get this for sure.

2 reviewsLisaland's favorite thing on Rancho del Zocalo's revamped menu, and she calls it hands down the best of everything she tried. Tortilla chips with beans, guajillo cheese sauce, red jalapeño, sour cream and guacamole. She is straightforward that the cheese sauce tastes like regular movie-theater nacho cheese rather than anything notably guajillo, but rates the guacamole highly and says the beans give the plate enough heft that she does not miss having meat on it at all. She also notes it is a huge improvement on the nacho fries it replaced.
