Britney of Extra Magic Minutes tried the $5.49 Ghost Cream Puff at ABC Commissary, filled with sour apple custard and topped with toasted meringue. She called it just okay: the sour apple is not nearly as tart as she wanted, though she liked seeing a less common flavour. The toasted meringue is soft and fluffy, the puff is well made and the craquelin topping adds a nice sugary texture. It is cute and photogenic but small and not very exciting. She said it might be a skip, would not get it again and put it among her skips.

2 reviewsHollywood Studios' Ghost Cream Puff ($5.49, ABC Commissary from 10 a.m. or Backlot Express from 11 a.m.) is very tiny: a cream puff with green sour apple custard under a soft, vanilla-bean-like meringue ghost with crunchy chocolate pearls. Better than expected: the custard isn't really sour, just lightly sweet with some apple and an aroma of sourness, and a light sugar coating gives the pastry a little crunch. 'Delightful', 'a win', and kids or adults will probably surprisingly really like it. Not worth $5.49 for the size, though; at four bucks it would have been a great value.
