Just Imagine found the red velvet came through right away and the drink less sweet than expected, with a nice chocolate taste and the Oreo cookie pieces as the best part. The host still prefers the Darth by Chocolate Parfait but thinks the two would pair well, and says Darth by Chocolate fans should try it.

6 reviewsMaking Magical Adventures tried this Galactic Grill drink as a spin on the Darth by Chocolate Parfait they already love: Joffrey's cold brew flavoured with red velvet cake and chocolate, topped with vanilla cold foam, chocolate cookie pieces and sprinkles. The vanilla topping is very thick and read to them as a cookies-and-cream concept, but the cold brew underneath came across a little tart, and enough of the syrup had settled to the bottom that they reached for a spoon to stir it through. Their practical warning: bring a good straw, because getting past that first layer of foam is genuinely hard work.
Ordinary Adventures gave this four out of five, placing it behind the French Toast Cold Brew they tried the same day. Joffrey's cold brew with red velvet cake and chocolate flavours under vanilla foam, cookie pieces and a Darth Vader chocolate on top, and they had suspected going in that it might be a bit much. In the event they found it very sweet, loved the thick foam, and thought it genuinely tastes like red velvet cake. Their recommendation is conditional: worth it if a very sweet, chocolatey drink with a hint of red velvet is what you are after.
Joffrey's coffee cold brew with red velvet cake and chocolate flavors, topped with vanilla foam, chocolate cookie pieces, and sprinkles. She's excited going in but comes away underwhelmed — none of the promised flavors (coffee, Oreo, chocolate, red velvet) come through strongly, the same "watered down" issue as the Brown Butter Maple Cold Brew. It tastes better once you get a sip with some of the foam and cookie pieces. Her verdict: it doesn't live up to the "Darth by Chocolate" name.
Lisaland found this Galactic Grill cold brew merely okay. She noted approvingly that you can actually taste the coffee in it, which she said is unusual for a Disney cold brew, but the chocolate cookie pieces were the problem - she doesn't want cookie bits in a drink and got a big chunk of one. She also thought the sprinkles on top were noticeably sparse compared to other versions.
The Darth by Chocolate turned into a cold brew, and Magic Journeys was thrilled - they'd been asking for exactly this. Red velvet and vanilla notes, Oreo crumble and vanilla foam, and it drinks like a decadent iced mocha rather than a plain one, with the crumbles adding texture. They still prefer the original Darth by Chocolate, but this tied for their favorite thing of the day.
