Ordinary Adventures closed out at Paradise Garden Grill with this torta of red chilaquiles, refried beans, avocado spread, queso fresco, pickled red onions and a fried egg, served with chips. They warned straight away that it is not structurally sound - it crumbled as they ate and they were unsure whether it is meant to be picked up at all. Past that, the praise was unreserved: the host called it amazing but super messy, singled out how tender the meat is, and noted the chips are soaked through with the red salsa rather than staying crunchy. Their summary was that it perfectly captures the chilaquiles experience, essentially Mexican breakfast nachos on bread. Their verdict was five out of five.

2 reviewsBoth Just Imagine hosts loved it: the chilaquiles stayed crunchy inside the torta, the beans were soft, the carnitas tender, flavorful and a little crispy, and the queso fresco fresh. One host would definitely get it again; the other warns that the chile served alongside is really spicy. Their bottom line: you have to get this.
