Mr Cheezy Pop picked this up on a mobile order at Harbour Galley and called it two for two on the season's cold brews. They describe a brown butter cold foam sitting over the coffee, and recommend stirring it through so the flavours land in one sip. The verdict was positive: very creamy — they said it tasted as though vanilla ice cream had been dropped on top — with the coffee still coming through underneath. Their reservation is sweetness. They went in worried it would be too sweet and confirmed that it is very sweet, though they still said they liked it a lot. When naming favourites at the end of the day, they gave the edge to the French Toast Cold Brew at Red Rose Taverne.

2 reviewsJoffrey's beignet-flavor cold brew with maple and brown butter syrup, topped with brown butter cold foam. She calls it watered down — the brown butter maple flavor and hint of coffee are there, but only faintly, with none of the mentioned flavors coming through strongly. The cold foam on top also curdles oddly once mixed. Her verdict: skip this one.
