At Festival Favorites in CommuniCore Hall, Disney Food Blog tried the Bo Ssam Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps with kimchi slaw and spicy aioli. The pork belly itself was flavorful, but the lettuce was too thin to hold everything together and fell apart halfway through, so they say to grab napkins.

Theme Park Foodies tried the Bo Ssam Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps at Festival Favorites, and the hosts split on them. Both said the soft, soggy lettuce is the wrong choice: it can't be picked up, so it isn't really a wrap, just pork belly on lettuce, and an iceberg or romaine leaf would fix it. Sam said the pork belly is really good and the kimchi and spicy aioli give it a kick, but because she could only eat little bits of pork she would not get it again and gave it a 5 out of 10. Jay loved the filling: a slight spice, a cool vinegary sauce, and pork that is crispy on top and melts in your mouth. He went 7 for the flavor and said he would go 8 or 9 with better lettuce.

A 30th-anniversary returning item at Festival Favorites: bo ssam pork belly in lettuce cups with kimchi slaw and spicy aioli. Alan says it's still delicious - the pork belly isn't fatty and just melts in your mouth, leaving deep pork flavor with chili spice, while the kimchi adds a tart tang and the spicy sauce makes it creamy with another layer of pepperiness. It does have real heat, so spice-averse eaters may want to pass, but he loves it and is so happy it's back; it made their best of the fest.

WrightDownMainStreet tried the $6.19 Bo Ssam Pork Belly Lettuce Wrap at Festival Favorites, ordered without the spicy aioli. She was glad she skipped it, because the wrap was already so oily and watery that she called it a messy disaster to pick up. It was very spicy with a little sweetness, and the kimchi added tang, but the flimsy bibb lettuce could not hold it together and she wanted a crunchy lettuce for texture and structure. She liked the sauce, but the chunks of pork were a little chewy and there wasn't much meat. She thought it might suit a low-carb diet, but said that because it is so messy she would not get it again.
