SoCal Disney Dad ordered the Bistecca as the upcharge entree on the World of Color dining package at Wine Country Trattoria, and it took two tries. The first New York steak arrived far browner than the medium he asked for, the first couple of bites were very chewy, and he felt the seasoning was heavy enough to overpower the meat and its juices. He flagged down the server, who took it back without argument, and the replacement was noticeably more tender and much better through the center, with good flavor overall. His advice is simple: if your steak comes out wrong, send it back. He called the plate a good choice in the end, and singled out the roasted garlic mashed potatoes as wonderful.
