Birria Potato

The Disney Noob called this one of his favourites and a lock for the 2026 best-value list. He approved of Disney moving the specialty baked potatoes to Refreshment Corner, describing them as absolutely delicious and huge - real potatoes and real cheese, with a whole bed of birria piled on top. On the meat, he said birria is one of the most delicious Mexican preparations there is: very soft and tender, very juicy, and never dry. For a meat-and-potatoes eater, he put it in a three-way tie with the bulgogi toasted cheese and the Gaston burger for the best value in the park.

Mix In Some Magic's family rated this 7, 7 and 6.1 out of 10 as part of a large Halloween tasting. It arrives with salsa verde, plenty of beef and consommé on the side. The scores came quickly and without much elaboration, placing it solidly mid-pack among the dozen-plus items they worked through that day rather than among their favourites.

Just Imagine call the Birria Potato from Refreshment Corner hefty and packed with meat. They say the birria is super juicy and flavorful, the potato is so soft it melts in your mouth, and the salsa verde adds a lot, with the consommé making it even better. Both agree Disneyland's baked potatoes are some of the best things to eat in the park, and they talk about getting a second one. Their only gripe is that one host found too many onions on top.

Feed Meimei ranked this the number one item of her entire Halloween tour. The potato is enormous - she reckons it could feed two to three people - and loaded with so much birria that she called the price a steal. The beef is deeply flavourful, beefy and umami with a little heat, and crucially not dry: there is plenty of juice in the potato plus a side of consomme, which she says fixes the dryness birria often has. The baked potato underneath is cooked well, with sharpness from the onion and brightness from the cilantro. Her only change would be even more onion.

The best thing in the whole guide, by Magic Journeys' own ranking at the end. A huge baked potato loaded with tender, juicy, faintly smoky birria, pepper jack, onions and salsa verde, with consomme on the side to pour over it. The heat is mild - they put it around a 3 out of 10. The only thing they'd change is adding a squeeze of lemon to brighten it up.
