Ordinary Adventures scored this four and a half out of five, describing Studio Catering Company as an underrated gem at DCA that never misses. The tamale comes with salsa verde, lime crema, shredded lettuce and pico de gallo, and they were warned at the counter that the plate has very little structure, which they confirm: it arrives soupy. On taste they call it really good and the sort of thing they would expect from Paradise Garden Grill across the park, and simply a very good beef and cheese tamale.

2 reviewsA beef and cheese tamale with salsa verde, lime crema, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo, grilled with cheese on top. She's surprised by the spice from the salsa verde, and enjoys the mix of textures — the grainy tamale, shredded beef, crunchy lettuce, and juicy tomato. She notes the tamale itself can run a little dry at times, but there's enough sauce to compensate. Her verdict: she likes it, and hasn't had a tamale quite like this before.
