Revisiting the Banana-Caramel Beignets, now served all day, the host found them hard to enjoy after trying beignets in New Orleans. They are fried fresh and warm but are mostly hollow dough without much flavor, and the caramel and bananas only save them a little. If you want beignets in Magic Kingdom, get this version, but she says the Mickey beignets at Port Orleans taste far better.
Reviews
2 reviewsThe Banana-Caramel Beignets come with powdered sugar, sliced bananas and a generous caramel sauce. On their own the beignets are hollow, like eating air, but the host called the sauce killer and said it turns a below-average beignet into a good one. She rated it the best variation Golden Oak has done and would get it again; it is very sweet, but very good.
